Hello everyone! I'm Joe
Williams, President of Arrow-In Addiction Bowfishing, LLC. I
grew up in the small town of Hernando, Mississippi where I attended
only the finest public schools in Hernando. I played many sports
while growing up, but later decided to focus on playing football. I graduated from Hernando High School in 2003 where I
went on to play football for the Ole Miss Rebels as a defensive tackle from
2003-2005 until I tore my ACL. After eight months of rehab I
decided that my football days were over. I moved back home and
began taking night classes at the University of Mississippi
Desoto Center, while working full time
as a steel sales representative for American Metal Sales in
Southaven, MS. I graduated from the University of
Mississippi in May 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Business
Management.
I started bowfishing when I was
15yrs old and I have been addicted to it ever since. I started
out fishing in local ditches and creeks where I would walk for
miles just to get a shot at a single fish. My first bowfishing
bow was a PSE Kingfisher recurve with only a Cajun reel. I
later moved up to an AMS Fish Hawk compound bow and began using
the AMS Retriever reels. I experienced my first time bowfishing
at night from a boat when my good friend Cody took me out on his
fan boat. After that night, bowfishing took on a whole new
meaning to me. I had never seen fish and shot at as many
fish as we did when we went out at night! After that I decided
to invest in my own boat. Once I bought my boat I started
fishing and learning as many lakes as possible. I have found
many honey holes throughout my efforts. Ever since I've been bowfishing I have always enjoyed teaching others about the sport
of shooting fish with a bow and arrow. Nothing beats the
experience of being there with someone and helping them when
they shoot their first fish or the frustration that
is shared from all the near misses! The rush that I get when me
or someone else sticks a fish with an arrow is one of the greatest
feelings in the world. It is that rush that makes me proud to say, "
Hi. My name is Joe Williams and I have an Arrow-In Addiction!"
